I try to create a visual wonderland from the things that surround me. I believe in magic and enchantment, that there is magic all around if we but care to look for it.

 

Whilst studying for my degree in Visual Communication/Photography from Birmingham Institute of Art and Design, I experimented with montage and mixed media - painting on top of photographs, pulling the backing off Polaroids and scratching into them, manipulating. It is therefore a natural progression for me to now experiment in the same way, but digitally.

 

Based in Birmingham, I photograph the reality around me but hopefully transform it to show the essence of the magic that lies within, showing that the world we live in is indeed a Wonderland - bright, colourful and beautiful.
